GATE 2023 CS (SESSION 1, 04-02-2023, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM)

Question Pattern - As per the usual format of the GATE exam, the online exam consisted of both Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

Exam Interface - The Exam Interface was as usual compared to Last Year's GATE Exam.

Exam Analysis - Computer Science

• The paper involved 34 Multiple Choice Questions, 16 Numerical Answer Type Questions and 15 Multiple Select Questions.
• No great changes were found in this paper compared to Last Year. Most of the Questions were Conceptual Based, Application questions and Analytical Questions.
• Quantitative Aptitude - Three verbal ability questions, two reasoning, and five questions from quantitative. All 10 questions are MCQ.
• Overall, the Difficulty Level of the Paper was found to be Medium.

GATE 2023 EC (4th SESSION, 05-02-2023, 14:30 to 17:30 Hrs)

Question Pattern - As per the usual format of the GATE exam, the online exam consisted of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ’s), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ’s) and Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT’s).

Exam Interface - The Exam Interface was as usual compared to Last Year's GATE Exam.

Exam Analysis – Electronics and Communication Engineering

• The paper involved total of 46 MCQ’s , 03 MSQ’s and 16 NAT Questions asked in the exam.
• The Overall Exam paper is Difficult compared to that of GATE2022.
• In Networks, majority of the questions are from Basics,Transient analysis and 2-port Networks.
• In Signals and Systems, majority of the questions are from Basics,Fourier Transforms and DTFT.
• In Electronic Devices,majority of the Questions are from Semi-Conductors, MOSFET
• In Communications, majority of the questions are from Analog modulation
• In Control Systems, majority of the questions are from Time response analysis,Block diagram reduction.
• In Digital cicuits, majority of the questions are from Sequential circuits, ADC/DAC.
• Electromgnetics , majority of the questions are from EM-wave propagation,Trasmission lines & Wave guides.

Question Pattern - As per the usual format of the GATE exam, the online exam consisted of Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

Exam Interface -  The Exam Interface was as usual compared to Last Year's GATE Exam.

Exam Analysis – Mechanical Engineering

• The paper involved 32 Multiple Choice Questions, 25 Numerical Answer Type Questions and 8 Multiple Select Questions.
• No great changes were found in this paper compared to Last Year. Most of the Questions were Conceptual Based and Analytical Questions.
• Unlike last year, 1 marks question followed by 2 marks question (NO jumbled)
• NO match the column question.
• General Aptitude. All 10 questions were MCQ.
• Overall, the Difficulty Level of the Paper was found to be Moderate to Difficult.
• The paper was lengthy and difficult as same as last year.
• Questions as per not PYQ trend. New model of questions were asked.
