Apart from AIPMT, there are a few reputed medical entrance examinations either at national or state level that are being conducted for the admission into gradate and post graduate medical courses. These institutes have gained reputation for the quality of education they offer hence they attract huge number of aspirants.

There are a few prestigious institutes that select aspirants of MBBS based not on their own entrance examination but use another well known entrance examination - for eg., AFMC uses AIPMT to admit aspirants into its MBBS degree.
