Posts Under SSC CGL

Posts have been placed in two groups, Group – B and Group – C. The Pay Level for the posts under Group - B are Pay Level - 7 (Rs. 44900 - 142400), Pay Level - 6 (Rs. 35400 - 112400) and for Group - C are Pay Level - 5 (Rs. 29200 - 92300), Pay Level - 4 (Rs. 25500 – 81100). Posts have been categorised into two groups based on the pay scale.

Posts Under Group B

1. Assistant Section Officer: In the office of Central Secretariat Service, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), AFHQ, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and other Ministries / Department / Organizations.
2. Inspector / Executive Assistant: For CBDT, CBIC, Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication, Central Bureau of Narcotics and Ministry of Finance.
3. Sub Inspector /Junior Intelligence Officer in CBI, National Investigation Agency and Narcotic Control Bureau.
4. Assistant Enforcement Officer in the Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue.
5. Divisional Accountant: For Offices under C&AG.
6. Junior Statistical Officer: For the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
7. Research Assistant: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Posts Under Group C:

1. Auditor: Offices under C & AG, CGDA, and others.
2. Accountant / Junior Accountant: Offices under C & AG, Controller General of Accounts and other Ministry/Departments.
3. Tax Assistant: CBDT, CBIC.
4. Senior Secretariat Assistant / Upper Division Clerks in Central Govt. Offices/Ministries other than CSCS cadres.
5. Sub Inspector: Central Bureau of Narcotics, Ministry of Finance
6. Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant: Department of Post, Ministry of Communications.
7. Senior Administrative Assistant: Military Engineering Services, Ministry of Defence.
