govindrajan : The cutoff may come down. Not because the test was tougher but because the structure of the test. As CET do not have sections, in an on line test, it is difficult to quickly go to the areas where one is strong and answer the questions. Otherwise CET is at par with the difficulty level of CET 2012 (the last time it was conducted). As matter of fact if the same test is a paper based one, the cutoffs would have been the same.

sumanth : @govindrajan Thats the case sir sec1 98,SEc2 70....I did better in whole section I.in SEction 2 VA was pretty good,Rc was worst part,LR was bad in examination though it was my strength.....These are details,please split up my 7 hours.....plzzzzzzzzzz
govindrajan : When you say Lr is your strength but the test performance is bad, it indicate that you are over confident about LR. Generally LR questions have lot of data to read and analyse. You need lot of practice in this area. Do not neglect. Since it is your strong area you can use to cover up any weakness in RC. Spend about 2 hour on RC. This is including reading novels or news paper. Alternate days you spend for reading and for RC. Do not become impatient if the going is slow initially. About 1 1/2 hours for VA. 2 hours for QA and DI and 1 1/2 for LR.

If u can write about what u have read then u need to practice to increase the eye span. other wise reduce u r speed and comprehend the concept also then try increasing the speed. This improves u r gk, word power and also will give lot of confidence to crack rc questions. practice is the secret to improve..all the best

viveknair : the other colleges are better. you can block the bimtech seat and once the other colleges release their results, claim a refund. do enquire abt the penalty. usually not very high. but cash flow constraints might be there.

asim : The following are preparation tips for CAT-14 I am a strong believer that one should not quantify ones quality of preparation in terms of number of hours of study, rather you should look at your preparation in terms of number of topics covered,number of concepts learnt and so on. If you still insist on an answer, i would say a minimum of 25 hours per week routine is recommendable, if you are a college student/working class and twice of that if you are neither studying nor working(only focusing on CAT Preparation). You should ensure that you distribute the time among all the areas.The distribution ratio would depend on your comfort level in that area,Make sure that you do not ignore your weaknesses. You cannot afford to start a particular section,complete it and then move to the next one,You must complete basics of all the areas as quickly as possible.You should complete all the topics of Quant from the Booklets provided to you.In case you require help,you may refer to the solutions booklet provided along with it(assuming you join us for the full time classroom coaching). Similarly revise the DIHO papers as well as DEX Papers as and when they are given to you.You must simultaneously work on the DI Booklet provided for practice. In addition to the aptitude part, you must also ensure that you work on your GA,as most entrance exams would have a GA section and also it would come handy for the GDPI rounds. Go through your QUANT Foundation notes.You should understand and subsequently practice those concepts. You should attend the basics classes of all the Quant topics and solve the Concept review exercises on your own.Please do not shy away from asking queries and doubts during the class room sessions. In case you still feel the basics are not clear then you may scan through 8,9,10 standard Mathematics- school text books After attending the exercises classes you must practice all the questions again on the same day.Solve any problems given as home work on the same/subsequent day. In case of any doubts you may refer to the solution book provided by us or discuss these problems with faculty member during the doubt clarifying sessions(they will be made available after few months). PFA containing tips for VA preparation. You must graduate to the higher level of difficulty level by practicing the questions provided in CRT/MOCK CAT and the AIMCATs. Remember with each AIMCAT there should be considerable improvement in your aptitude. Finally keep in mind that you still have around 6 months for Preparation and you can make a world of difference in this time Period.
