
About CUET 2026
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) (UG) is an all-India entrance exam organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programs in central and state universities across India. Prestigious institutions such as Delhi University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and the University of Hyderabad (UoH) are among the universities that will accept CUET scores for their UG admissions. The CUET has been introduced to standardise the admission process for all UG programs in Central Universities under the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Eligibility:
Age Limit: There is no upper or lower age limit for candidates.
Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board.

Students appearing for Class 12 exams in the current academic year can also apply.
Subject Combination:

Candidates can now choose any subject for the CUET (UG), regardless of the subjects studied in Class 12.

CUET (UG) Score
Universities that accept CUET (UG) scores will shortlist candidates based on their performance in the exam for further rounds of the admission process. -
Cut-off and Counselling
Each participating university may have its own cut-off criteria and counselling procedure. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counselling and document verification at the respective universities. -
Final Admission
Final admission will depend on the candidate's performance in the CUET (UG), and the specific eligibility criteria set by the individual university.
