Test Areas


The written examination for Class X will be in two stages:

  • Stage I examination at the State/UT level will comprise of two parts, namely

    1. Mental Ability Test (MAT)

    2. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) covering Sciences, Mathematics, Social Sciences and the English Language.

    (10 questions: Different subjects
    100 90 minutes



    Each State/UT will nominate students (as per the their quota) to appear for stage II at National Level.

  • Stage II examination at the National level will comprise two parts, namely

    1. Mental Ability Test (MAT)

    2. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) covering Sciences, Mathematics, Social Sciences and the English Language.

Note:
  • Each right answer is awarded one mark.

  • There will be negative marking - 1/3 mark for every wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

  • Once the students finish the MAT, the SAT is administered after a short break of about 5 minutes.
