T.I.M.E. Dinamalar Seminar - How to crack Bank Exams


On Sunday, 18th November 2012, Dinamalar in association with T.I.M.E. organized a half-day seminar for the benefit of aspirants of job opportunities in Banks. The event – open to graduates of all disciplines - was conceptualized by Dinamalar to increase the awareness of the wonderful job opportunities in the Banking Sector. The knowledge partner for this event was T.I.M.E., the national leader in competitive entrance examination training. The Banking Sector is currently recruiting in tens of thousands of numbers and graduates across India are looking at this job opportunity with great excitement.

Ahead of the day’s event itself, hundreds of students from across Chennai had registered for the programme over telephone. The entry for the event was free, but was restricted to the first 500 aspirants. More than 410 students attended the three-hour seminar on Sunday. Along with parents and others who accompanied the job aspirants, the total number of people who attended was more than 530.

Though the reporting time was 09:30 am, more than half the auditorium was fillep up by 09:00 am itself by enthusiastic aspirants for Bank Job Opportunities.

Mr. Senthil Kumar, Asst. Manager, Dinamalar welcomed the participants at the beginning of the Seminar at MGR Janaki College Auditorium at Adyar.

Mr. Ajay Antony, Course Director and Vice President of T.I.M.E. Institute addressed the job aspirants and covered the following points.
  • The changing scenario in the banking recruitment examinations in Clerical and Probationary Officers Cadre
  • The test patterns for the different exams
  • The test – taking strategies required to do well in these competitive exams.
  • A sample model question paper of Bank Clerical and PO was distributed to the participants and the shortest methods to solve the problems were discussed.

A short video quiz based on video clips related to banking was also part of the event to give variety to the whole event.

The interactive session that followed saw the Subject Expert discuss questions in minute detail and demonstrate how even difficult problems can be solved in a few seconds using special techniques.

Mr. S Vijaya Krishnan, Asst. Vice President, Axis Bank was the Industry Resource who addressed the gathering. Drawing on his 30 years of service in the Indian Banking Industry, the veteran banker shared his experiences and motivated the participants with the career path and available options available in Public Sector Banks.

Dozens of students stayed back after the programme to interact with the experts to clarify with them on issues like interview tips, preparation techniques, test taking strategies required etc. The participants felt that the three-hour session was extremely useful in giving a clear direction for their preparation for Bank Entrance Examinations.

The experts felt that the students have tremendous opportunity in the exams if they adopt a disciplined approach and stick to a study plan.

Most of the students opined that they have been greatly motivated to look at the career opportunities in the banking sector after Sunday’s session.
