The YLP is a challenging foundation program that guarantees deferred admission to the one year Post Graduate Program in Management offered by ISB, contingent upon completion of one year and nine months of work experience. It involves a cutting edge leadership skill development and mentorship program for two years before a student can join ISB.

To be considered for admission, an applicant must be in the pre-final year of graduation. He or she will have to go through a 3-stage selection process to gain admission into the YLP. Selection Process comprises profile evaluation, analysis of academic and analytical skills, GMAT Performance, Essays, Video Presentation and Interviews.
Stage 1: Applicants are required to submit:
- All academic details and achievement till date
- Extra-curricular interests and achievements
- One essay and one 90-second video
- A one page resume
- Application fee of INR 1000
Stage 2: Candidates shortlisted from stage 1 are required to submit:
- GMAT Score
- Three essays
- Two evaluations
Stage 3: A final short-list will be announced and all the short-listed candidates will be invited to ISB campus for the final selection process, which includes an interview.

The learning and assessment modules have been specifically designed keeping in mind the special needs of young executives stepping into the corporate world. Every six months, the selected candidates will attend weekend contact programs on campus which will focus on:
