The erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board which came into existence in 1959 was responsible for Generation,Transmission and Distribution of Electricity.Under Electricity Sector Reforms agenda,Government of Andhra Pradesh promulgated Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reforms Act,1998.The erstwhile APSEB was unbundled into one Generating Company (APGENCO),One Transmission Company(APTRANSCO) and Four Distribution Companies (APDISCOMs) as part of the reform process.
Applications are invited On-line through APTRANSCO WEBSITE www.aptransco.gov.in and aptransco.cgg.gov.in from 20.03.2017 to 12.04.2017 (to 11.04.2017 for payment of fees) from eligible Engineering Graduates for filling up the following vacancies on regular basis in APTRANSCO Engineering Service.

FEE: Each applicant must pay Rs.150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) towards Application Processing Fee.
ELIGIBILITY :
Age: Shall not be more than 42 years as on 01.03.2017. (Upper age limit will be relaxed up to 5 years in respect of SC/ST/BC candidates and up to 10 years in respect of P.H candidates.)

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection of candidates for appointment will be made 100% on Written examination.
Written Examination – The examination will consists of 2 sections
Section (A) : Questions on core academic curriculum of respective discipline - (70 marks).
Section (B) : Questions on analytical aptitude – (30 marks).
Duration – 2 Hrs. The written examination for recruitment of Assistant Engineer/ Elecl., & Civil will be held at different centers located only in Vijayawada.Important Dates :
