SET BBA - 2025

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) was conducted on 11th May 2025 for admission to various programmes offered by various institutes affiliated with Symbiosis International University, Pune.

The examination consisted of 60 questions, spread across four sections, and had to be completed within a 60-minute timeframe. Each section carried a different focus: General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning, with the first three sections comprising 16 questions each and the last containing 12 questions. All questions were equally weighted at 1 mark each, and there was no penalty for incorrect answers. Importantly, there was no sectional time limit, allowing candidates the flexibility to switch between sections as they saw fit during the allotted time.

General English

The English section consisted of 16 questions, divided into various subsections focusing on different aspects of language. The majority of the questions were based on vocabulary and grammar. Interestingly, there was a question based on a Poem, which the student had to identify the usage of metaphor. Some of the questions were pretty tricky because the options were designed. The overall difficulty level of the test was categorized as Easy to Moderate.

A good attempt was considered to be answering about 10-12 questions correctly.

Quantitative Ability

The examination featured 16 questions, segmented into different mathematical categories. While the majority of the questions were fairly doable, there were a few questions that could be classified as pretty tricky. The questions based on AP and Logarithms will fall in this bracket. The difficulty level of the test was rated as Easy to Moderate.

A good attempt was identified as successfully answering approximately 10 to 12 questions.

General Awareness

The test consisted of 16 questions focused on general knowledge. While the majority of the questions were based on current affairs, there were a few questions based on static GK. The questions ranged from Games & Tournaments, Polity, Economy, Organizations, etc. A student who read newspapers regularly would have been able to manage this section, others would have struggled. The overall difficulty level of the test was classified as moderate to difficult.

A good attempt was considered to be correctly answering about 5 to 7 questions.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning

The examination featured 12 questions, targeting different areas of logical reasoning. While the majority of the questions were doable, there were a few tricky questions too. The difficulty level of the test was categorized as Easy to Moderate.

In conclusion, the test comprised a total of 60 questions, with the overall difficulty level ranging from Easy to Moderate. Achieving a score of 38- 40 can be considered a good performance in this examination.
