CAT 2024 notification has been released. The examination will be conducted on 24 Nov 2024 (Sunday). The exam will be administered in three sessions.

CAT 2024 will be conducted in around 170 cities. Candidates will be given the option to choose five cities as their preferred venues for writing the exam.

The registration fee for the exam will be Rs 1250 for SC/ST/DA applicants and Rs 2500 for others. The application form will be available from 1 Aug till 20 Sep 2024. The applicants will be able to download their admit card from 5 Nov 2024 onwards. The results will be released tentatively by the second week of January 2025.

Exam Pattern

The duration of the test will be 120 minutes. The test will have the following three sections:

Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

Please note the exact number of questions in each of the sections has not been revealed.
