Quantitative ability
This section was as expected, with more focus on higher maths. There were around 9-10 questions from Arithmetic, four questions from Coordinate geometry, at least one question from Set Theory , two questions on Logarithms, and three questions from Functions. Overall algebra had a high weightage. There were five questions from DI which were quite doable and easy. Candidates found the Short Answer section more difficult than the MCQ section.
A good attempt for MCQ section could be 18-22 Questions and for Short Answer Section it could be 8-10 Questions.
Verbal Ability
This section was a relief as most candidates found it not only doable but quite easy. Sticking to previous year’s format, there were two Reading Comprehension passages with a total of 12 questions along with questions on Vocabulary and Para jumbles. RC had one passage on Apple and one passage on Health, obesity and insomnia. Surprisingly there were no questions from Idioms but it was replaced by questions on Phrasal Verbs. There were questions on fill-in-the-blanks, grammar and on para completion which were quite direct and could easily be answered by elimination.
A good attempt in this section could be 36-40 Questions
