The tentative  vacancies under CGLE 2022 have been increased to 37,409 . The tentative vacancies announced earlier at the time when the notification was released, were 20,000.

The massive increase is due to the inclusion of the post of  Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant. Till 2021 the recruitment for this post was done through SSC CHSL Exam. For 2022 the recruitment for this post will be done through CGLE.
