SSC has released the notification for CGLE 2021.

(A) Important Dates:

Dates for submission of online applications:	23-12-2021 to 23-01-2022
Schedule of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I):	April 2022
Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper):	To be notified later

(B) Vacancies :

Vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancy position will be uploaded on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in > Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy)

(C) Eligibility Criteria :

(i) Educational Qualification ( as on 01-01-2022):

Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics is desirable.

Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.

Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Degree in law from a recognized university is desirable.

Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution is desirable.; Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university is desirable.

All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 23-01-2022.

(ii) Age ( As on 01-01-2022):

18 - 32 Years ( Check detailed notification for more details)

(D) Scheme of Exam:

The Examination comprises four stages as explained below.

Marks scored by candidates in Tier-I and Tier-II examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized and such normalized scores will be treated as final and will be used for qualifying the candidates to next stage of examination and to determine final merit.

(i) Pattern of Tier -I Examination (Computer Based):

• Tier –I of the CGLE will be common for all categories of posts
• There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I
• Questions will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice , set both in Hindi and English in respect of Parts A, B and C

(ii) Pattern of Tier -II Examination (Computer Based):

This is the second stage of the exam and only those candidates who qualify the first stage (Tier -I) , will be allowed to sit in this exam.

It is also an objective type test and Paper I and Paper II are compulsory for all the posts.

Paper-IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer /Assistant Accounts Office

• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I , III and IV for each wrong answer

(iii) Pattern of Tier - III Examination:

This will be conducted in Pen and Paper Mode and will be a Descriptive Paper in English or Hindi (Writing of Essay/ Precis/ Letter/ Application etc.)
The maximum marks for this section (Tier III) is 100 and the duration is 60 minutes.

(iv) Pattern of Tier -IV Examination:

1. DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): For the posts of Tax Assistant in CBIC, Tax Assistant in CBDT, and UDC/ SSA in Central Bureau of Narcotics: key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes. This test will be of qualifying nature.

2. CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): The Commission will hold Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), comprising of three modules: (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides, for the posts of Assistant Section Officer in CSS, MEA & AFHQ, Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines, Inspector (CGST &Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in 22 CBIC and Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).

(E) Application Fee & Mode of Payment:

(i) Fee payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), ESM eligible for reservation and Persons with disability (PwD) are exempted from payment of fee.
