The cities in which XAT 2017 is scheduled to be conducted are Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon (Gurugram), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam.

Apart from these cities, XAT 2017 will also be conducted at two international cities- Dubai and Kathmandu.

Test Result

XAT Results are expected to be announced by 31st January 2017

Test Pattern XAT 2017

This examination consists of two parts: Part I and Part II. Part I has three sections A, B and C with 24, 21 and 27 questions respectively, i.e. a total of 72 questions. The three sections of Part I are followed by Part II with 25 GK questions and an essay. The time for completing the three sections and general knowledge is 210 minutes. You are expected to answer the first three sections in 170 minutes and General Knowledge QUESTIONS in 35 minutes.

General Knowledge and Essay marks would be used only for the final selection and not for shortlisting candidates for interview/GD.

HRM Program @ XLRI

XLRI offers a two-year full-time programme in HRM on the completion of which, students are conferred with Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. The HRM course is the oldest and the most prestigious of the Institute's teaching programmes. It is one of the best programme in India; it aims to equip the students with the knowledge and skills required for managing HR in a way that contributes to the development of individuals and organizations.

BM Program @ XLRI

XLRI offers a two-year full-time programme on Business Management, on the completion which, candidates are conferred with Postgraduate diploma in Business Management (PGDBM). This programme is extremely prestigious and is rated as one of the finest of its kind in the country.

HRM Vs BM

The BM course is a regular Program which is designed to give inputs on all the functions of management (Marketing, Finance, HR etc). It is like a regular MBA program. Whereas, the HRM aims to equip the students with the knowledge and skills required for managing HRM Functions. HRM should be taken up by only those who are genuinely interested in making a career in HR domain.
