Railway Recruitment Board has announced the result of 1st Stage  Exam for recruitment to 18252 posts of Non Technical Popular Category (NTPC). The notification was released in Dec 2015 for recruitment of Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Enquiry cum Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Goods Guard, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAA), Asst Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant & Senior Time Keeper.

​​​​Based on the performance in the 1st Stage Examination (CBT) conducted during the period from 28/03/2016 to 03/05/2016 for various posts of NTPC (Graduate) categories against CEN-03/2015, the RRBs have released the Roll Numbers (14 digits) of candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted to appear in common 2nd Stage examination (CBT).

All the 21 RRBs have released the list of candidates of their respective zones. 

A total of 2,73,250 have been qualified for 2nd Stage Examination.

About 2nd Stage Examinations : This is tentatively scheduled to be held in Jan/Feb 2017. 2nd stage CBT is likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning. The duration of 2nd Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes covering 120 multiple choice objective questions. Short listing for appearing in Aptitude Test/Typing Skill Test wherever applicable, will be only on the basis of marks obtained in 2nd Stage CBT.
