Information about SNAP

This year the SNAP examination will be conducted on 20 Dec 2020, 6 Jan and 9 January 2021 (thrice). The exam will be conducted from 11 am to 12 noon (on all three days). The exam will be conducted across 94 cities in India (last year there were 90 cities).

Students will be allowed to write the exam at most twice, but they need to decide at the time of first-time registration whether they plan to write it once or twice. The best of the two performances will be considered for test-takers who write the exam twice.

The application fee for the exam will be Rs 1750 per attempt.  Apart from this, Rs 1000 will be the application fee for each program opted for (For applying to B-schools under SIU). The last date to apply for SNAP is 28 November 2020. The results will be made available on 22 Jan 2021.

The pattern of the exam has undergone a big change. The following is the updated pattern of this year's examination

  • Total Questions 60
  • Total Duration- 1 hour
  • Marking scheme- 1 mark for the correct answer, 25% negative marking for the wrong answer
  • Type of questions- MCQs

The following are the sections 

  1. General English-15 Questions
  2. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency -20 Questions
  3. Analytical & Logical Reasoning -25 Questions  

Unlike last year when there were 5 Non-MCQs, this year there will be none.
