CAT 2020 to be conducted on 29 November 2020

CAT 2020 details have been made available on the official CAT website (www.iimcat.ac.in). The following is the schedule of this year's entrance exam

• Registration Begins- 5 Aug 2020
• Registration Ends-16 Sep 2020
• CAT 2020 Tutorial-16 Oct 2020
• Admit card issued from- 28 Oct 2020
• CAT 2020 Exam- 29 Nov 2020 ( Sunday )
• CAT 2020 Results- Second week of January 2021

Test slots - The exam will be conducted in two slots on the same day

The registration fee will be Rs 1000 Rs for SC/ST/DA candidates and Rs 2000 for others.

Test centers- The exam will be conducted across 156 cities.

Test Pattern -

The duration of the test will be 180 minutes. There will be three sections:

Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

Section III: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice type. Instead, direct answers will have to be typed on the screen.

This is the same as the pattern of the last few years. That there is no change in the pattern will be a big relief for many students.

Eligibility -

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
