Amid talk of economic slowdown and downward trajectory of GDP growth rate, MBA has become the most suitable and productive option. The salary figures being reported across B-schools, not just the Old 6 IIMs, have been amazing to say the least. There is not only an increase in average/highest salary figures, even the number of offers being extended and the number of companies hiring MBA graduates has seen a big jump. Let us look at some of the non-IIM top B-schools which have been doing exceptionally well.
FMS Delhi has seen a remarkable jump of 11% in their average salary. It has risen to 25.6 lacs p.a. Interestingly a whopping 75% of the offers recieved by the students were for more than 20 lacs p.a. salary! The highest salary offered to students was 58.6 lacs p.a.
XLRI finished their final placements in just 48 hours! The average salary secured was 24.3 lacs p.a.A total of 108 recruiters offered an amazing 362 domestic and international job offers to their students. 46% of the students infact succeeded in secured the coveted PPO offers.KPMG and Pricewaterhouse Coopers made the highest number of offers among the regular recruiters. New finals recruiters included companies like Arga Investment Company, Tolaram Group, MH Alshaya, Myntra, Power Finance Corporation, Delhivery, JCB, Thoucentric, Welspun, Diageo, Varroc, CK Birla, amongst others.
IIFT has reported an increase in the number of offers extended to their students in 2020. Their 2018-20 MBA-IB batch received 310 offers this year compared with 279 in 2019 and 288 in 2018. The average salary has increased to 20.48 lacs p.a.
SIBM Pune has reported a whopping 15% jump in their average salary. Their MBA students secured average salary of 20.14 lacs p.a. 90+ recruiters offered a total of 186 offers to the students. A total of 87 PPOs were extended.
These figures only go on to cement postion of MBA as the most recession proof career option, which enables one to secure a leadership/managerial role in an industry/company of ones choice. In current economic climate, anyone pursuing graduation final year or has been working for a couple of years in corporate world and wants to rapidly move on their career, then MBA is by far the most logical step!!
