It has been reported that the online IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main examination held on 12th Nov 2017 was almost of the same difficulty level as its predecessor in 2016, but for the inclusion of some new question types.
The Reasoning and English Sections were moderate. The Quant section was time-consuming. The GA section was easy - moderate while the one on Computers can be tagged as easy.

Numerical Ability:
According to the feedback received from our students who appeared for this exam, this section can be rated as moderate to difficult and time-consuming.
The questions on DI were quite lengthy and tedious; the questions on caselet were tough. Individual questions in this section were based on topics like Ratio, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration, Mixtures, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest, Probability etc.. Though not direct questions, they were reportedly tricky ones and mandate a complete knowledge of concepts to solve them. The 5 questions on Data Sufficiency were of moderate level difficulty. There were 5 questions on Quadratic comparisons too, which were relatively easier to solve.

Reasoning Ability:
This section has been given a moderate tag.
The emphasis here was on puzzles, which were changelling. The questions on deductions can be assigned a moderate level of diffciulty. The Data Sufficiency topic posed moderate level difficulty questions.

English Language:
This section was difficult as compared to the one last year. There were two RC passages with a total of fourteen questions.
New question types have been reported from among the verbal ability ones:
- Cloze test (Phrase based) – Cloze test blanks had to be filled with a group of words (phrase) instead of a single word, as opposed to the earlier norm here
- FIB – Two blanks which needed to be filled with gender-specific noun pairs (masculine-feminine) were presented
- Sentence correction questions involving a change in the degree of comparison used to a logically and grammatically correct one was askec.
The difficulty level of these new inclusions was limited at moderate.
Overall, this section can be pegged at 'moderate'.

General Awareness:
Most of the questions asked here were related to Banking Awareness and Current Affairs. Students have reported this area as easy to moderate.
Computer Knowledge:
The questions on Computers were reportedly easy, and dealt with concepts like MS Office, Networking, Operating system, Internet, Memory, Basics etc.
It has been reported that the online RRB Office Assistant 2017 Prelim examination held on 16th / 17th September 2017 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. A similar trend was followed for exams held on these days and across all the slots.
