NMIMS conducted the NPAT 2019 ( National test for Programmes After Twelfth) in an online format over a period of two days. The exam was held on 11th and 12th of May, 2019 for admission to BBA in NMIMS Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce at its Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dhule, Navi Mumbai, and Indore campuses.
Through NPAT, admissions are also done for Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) - (Mumbai campus only), and B.Sc. (Finance) (Dhule, Mumbai & Bengaluru campuses)

Exam Pattern: The NPAT 2019 was an objective type multiple-choice test i.e., there was no descriptive type of questions. The duration of the test was 100 minutes and it had three sections. Each question had 4 options. One mark was awarded for the correct answer and there was no negative marking.

Quantitative & Numerical Ability
The Quantitative & Numerical section was of moderate difficulty level. Qustions from Arithmetic viz., Percentages, Profit & Loss, Averages, Ratio-Proportion, Time & Distance, Time & Work, SI-CI formed the major chunk. Apart from this, questions on pure maths (Algebra – Linear Equations/Quadratic Equations, Functions, Trigonometry, Probability) , Geometry, Mensuration, etc were also there. Overall, in terms of difficulty, this sections did not pose a major threat to the students.
Ideal score in this section in 35 minutes would be (19 +/- 2).
Reasoning & General Intelligence
The overall difficulty level of this section was easy-moderate. Broadly, the questions were from Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Coding-decoding, Data Sufficiency, Analogies, Sequence & Series, Syllogisms, Decision Making, Blood Relationship, Visual Reasoning, Strong-weak arguments. DI sets were based on line chart, bar graph anf piie chart. In this section too, barring few questions, the students would not have found most of the questions as difficult ones.
A good score in this section would be (27 +/- 2) in about 40 minutes.
Proficiency in English Language
The questions on RCs comprised about one-third of the section. The length of the passages ranged from 350 to 600 words. Nevertheless, the RCs were easy both in terms of the language and the questions. Apart from this, the regular question type viz., Para Jumbles, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Word usage, Spot the error, were also there. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate and a sincere students could have attempted over 23-24 questions in this section.
A good score in this section can be considered as (28 +/- 2).
The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate and the students should not have faced much of a problem in handling most of the questions. An overall score of (76 +/- 2) can be considered a good score in the exam.
