  2. The Institute of Rural Management Anand is India’s leading school in rural management committed to acting as the catalyst and facilitator of rural prosperity. IRMA educates those inspired to work with organisations serving the rural sector and engaging directly with rural communities.

    Students should note that IRMA offers a sectoral program and it should be opted only on the basis of ones interest in making a career in this domain.

  3. How IRMA will admit students for PRM 2017-19 Batch?

  4. IRMA will use CAT 2016 / XAT 2017 scores for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management 2017 - 19 (PGDRM 2017 - 19) . All applicants have to additionally appear for test on "Issues of Social Concern" on February 12, 2017 (Sunday).

  5. What is the number of candidates to be selected to PRM 2017-19?

  6. The total number of seats available for PRM 2017-19 is 180. Fifteen percent of the approved intake is allocated for admission to overseas applicants.

  7. When will the application Form be made available? What is the cost of application form?

    1. Sale of Application Forms- From 1 October, 2016

  9. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 12, 2017.

  10. What is the selection process at IRMA?

  11. Students for PGDRM are selected on the basis of the Admissions Test, Group Activity and Personal Interview.

    Note: In order to get selected for GA & PI, a candidate had to satisfy the cut-off marks of CAT 2015 OR XAT 2016 as well "ISC" of IRMA.

  14. Can you tell me pattern of the test ( Issues of Social Concern )?

  15. There will be 40 objective type questions based on issues of social concern. There is provision for negative marking. Weightage for the same has been not be released.

    Note- The duration of the exam has not yet been revealed.

  16. Can you tell me something about the placements at IRMA for PRM batch?

  17. The average salary of the 2014-16 batch was Rs. 8.56 lakh per annum, and the median stood at 8.4 Lakh per annum. The maximum salary for the batch stood at 27.39 lakhs.

    The largest number of jobs offered by a single company was by the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF). Cooperatives/Producers Collectives as a sector offered job to one fourth of the batch. The other single largest recruiter this year was HDFC Bank in the agifinance-microfinance sector with 11 selections. This was followed by ICICI-Lombard and National Payments Corporation of India, taking 10 and 9 students respectively.

  18. Can you give me some preparation tips for IRMA's issues of social concern examination?

  19. In addition to reading newspapers regularly, it would be advisable for a student to prepare from the following sources:

    • Manorama & CSR Year Book - it helps in preparation for stock type questions

    • Yojana Magazine

    • Kurukshetra Magazine

    • Pratiyogita Darpan-Indian Economy

    While preparing for this section, a student should focus on issues related to environment, health, culture, food and agriculture, gender equality, social issues pertaining to development, etc.
