The proposed new IIMs in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Punjab are set to commence the first batch in July, 2015. IIM Udaipur is set to be coordinating the admission process of the proposed IIMs. The admission process is expected to comprise Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. While there is no clarity yet on the exact intake at each of them, a collective intake of around 300+ is expected for the six institutes.

The location and land for the proposed new IIMs have not been finalized yet, however the first batch would be accommodated either at a temporary campus in the respective state or at the mentor institutes (IIM A, B, C, I, K, L) till the permanent campus is ready
