IIM Ahmedabad has once again pushed the bar for salary figures secured during placement process in India. They have succeeded in becoming the first B-school in India with an average domestic salary of almost 25 lacs p.a. ( 24.4 lacs p.a. ).

The placements were carried out in two stages

The first stage was for lateral placements where students with some prior work-ex participated in the placement process. Around 45% of the batch was eligible for it. More than 47 firms participate in this round of placement process. Aditya Birla Group, TAS, Flipkart, Amazon, Deloitte etc were some of the prominent recruiters in this round of placements.

The second stage was the final placements, wherein all the students were eligible to participate. Around 125 firms participated in this round.

A high number of offers

Accenture strategy made the highest of 18 offers, it was followed by Boston Consulting Group with 15 offers, whereas Amazon made 14 offers.

Entrepreneurship Dream

Six students of this coveted B-school opted to pursue a business venture of their own and opted out of the placements process. IIM Ahmedabad offered them a placement holiday, wherein they will be eligible to participate in final placement process at the institute in the next 2 years ( if need be ).

Job Locations

Germany, UAE, Hongkong, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Nigeria were some of the countries where students were offered International jobs.

Among the domestic locations, Mumbai secured a highest of 106 job offers followed by 84 offers in Delhi (NCR ), whereas 48 offers were made in Bangalore.

Salary Figures

The highest domestic salary offered was whopping 72 lacs p.a.! Even the least salary offered was respectable 13.69 lacs p.a. The median salary offered for the batch was 23 Lacs p.a. The highest International offer was almost 100 thousand dollars.

Conclusion

These placement details go on to affirm the fact that IIM Ahmedabad is the beacon of management education in India and is surely one of the premier B-schools globally.
