IIM Kozhikode which is one of the most coveted B-schools in India announced that they will be adding 60 seats ( supernumerary seats ) to their flagship PGP program for women applicants. This decision will go a long way in increasing the diversity in the batch profile.

Established in the year 1997, the institute has been trying to increase the diversity in the PGP batch for the past few years. As part of this resolve they had introduced gender diversity marks for female applicants. Last year 5% weightage was given to female applicants while shortlisting candidates for the WAT-PI round. Last year 26% of the PGP students at IIM Kozhikode were female. By creating additional 60 seats for women, this percentage could go up.
