MS & Fellowship via GATE
Benefits of GATE other than M.Tech and application to P.S.Us

I) Master of Science

There are some good universities abroad which take admission to MS or PhD abroad on the basis of GATE results.
Some of them are:

a) National University of Singapore NUS and

b) Nanyang Technological University (NTU)

which offer MS and PhD programs on the basis of GATE results. Both the universities are highly reputed and offer degrees in all streams or fields of science and engineering.

a)National University of Singapore
Eligibility: Good performance in Bachelors degree and above 90 percentile in GATE.
Official website: National University of Singapore Graduate
Tuition Fee: 10000 to 17220 SGD (Singapore dollars) Approximately 5 to 10 Lakh Indian Rupees per annum.

b) Nanyang Technological University
Eligibility: Good performance in Bachelors degree and above 90 percentile in GATE.
Official website: Nanyang Technological University Graduate admissions
Tuition Fee: 10000 to 17220 SGD (Singapore dollars) Approximately 5 to 10 Lakh Indian Rupees per annum.

These are two wonderful and top class universities in Asia. They also offer limited scholarships. The basic disadvantage for Indian students who scored well is that the tuition fee is too high and Singapore is an expensive place to live. This makes students to opt for IITs and NITs where education cost is very less and one gets ample scholarships.

II) Fellowship

The GATE score also helps a student apply for a fellowship program at IIMA and IIMB in the following fields:
a) Economics
b) Marketing
c) Human Resources
d) Finance
The corresponding stipend for the same is also high at Rs.22,000 per month
