IIM Bangalore completes amazing final placements

IIM Bangalore has completed final placements for their 2016-18 PGP batch. A total of 420 students receiving 462 offers in India and abroad, across sectors.

A total of 140+ recruiters participated in the placement process.The students collectively secured a total of 462 offers from the recruiters.

Prominent recruiters

Goldman Sachs made the maximum of nine offers on day 1, where as Deutsche Bank made 6 offers and Citibank & HSBC made 3 offers each. Eight Capital, a hedge fund recruited at IIMB for the first time.

Among banks and financial firms, ICICI Bank made the maximum of nine offers. Others included Yes Bank, Kotak and National Housing Bank. Recruiters from Financial Services included Anand Rathi Wealth Management, Bajaj Finserve ; corporate Finance roles were offered by Bharti Airtel, Flipkart and Hindustan Unilever.

In the consulting domain, Deloitte USI led with 18 offers followed by The Boston Consulting Group with 17 offers.

About 34% of the batch received offers in management consulting sector. The companies making these offers included AT Kearney, Accenture Strategy, McKinsey & Co, Bain & Company, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon Singapore, Nomura Research Institute, Deloitte India, Ernst & Young, GEP Consulting, Alvarez & Marsal, EXL Consulting, Infosys Management Consulting, KPMG, EY-Parthenon Dubai, Feedback Infra, Roland Berger, Zinnov, Actus Advisors, Bay Current, Hay Group, IBM Consulting, Parthenon India, Renew Power and Siemens Management Consulting.

Sales and Marketing sector turned out to be the second largest recruiter, offering 57 jobs to the students. Samsung Electronics offered the most in this domain (10). Conglomerates recruited in good numbers for their leadership tracks in general management positions with Vedanta leading with five offers.

Microsoft offered four jobs out of 29 to be the biggest recruiter in the Information Technology (IT) domain. A total of 28 offers were made in the fast-growing analytics space out of which nine were offered by EXL Services.

In technology consulting domain Price Waterhouse Coopers made the maximum of 12 offers, out of 27. While a total of 26 jobs were offered under the General Management sector, Amazon (8) became the largest recruiter this time in the e-commerce sector.

This year’s final placements go to reaffirm IIM Bangalore’s place among the most coveted B-schools for pursuing MBA program.
