IIM Ahmedabad is arguably the leading B-school in India, not only on account of their quality of education but also on the basis of their awesome placement track record. This year IIM Ahmedabad has seen amazing summer internships for their 2017-19 PGP batch. The summer placements take place in clusters at IIM Ahmedabad.

The following is the snapshot of their summer placements

Cluster 1- The first cluster was conducted on Nov 6, 2017. More than 35 firms participated in this cluster. These comprised various sectors including management consulting, investment banking and markets, as well as private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital.

The Companies that visited IIM Ahmedabad campus during this cluster included The Boston Consulting Group A.T. Kearney, Bain & Co., McKinsey & Co., Monitor Deloitte, Strategy&,, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Avendus Capital, Citibank, Kedaara Capital, Multiples Equity, Temasek, True North, DSP Blackrock and Balyasny Asset Management.

Cluster 2- This part of summer placements was conducted on November 9.More than 45 firms participated in this cluster.

The companies that visited comprised various industries including General Management & Leadership, Consumer Goods, Government departments, Consulting, and Consumer Services.

In this cluster, the RPG Group made 14 offers whereas the Aditya Birla Group made 10 offers. The process also had firms like Amazon and Flipkart in the Retail B2B space. Amazon extended 12 offers and Flipkart made 8 offers. The Government of Telangana, which hired for the Industry & Commerce and ITE&C departments, made 5 offers.

Cluster 3-The third cluster was conducted on Nov 12, 2017. A total of more than 50 firms participated in this cluster.Companies from industries such as consumer technology, pharma and healthcare, social enterprises and NGOs, banking, financial services and insurance and core manufacturing made offers during this cluster. FinIQ ( based out of Singapore ), made the highest number of offers ( 10 ). Other major recruiters included MNCs such as Microsoft, Uber, American Express, Abbott and Vedanta Resources. Among the banking, financial services & insurance recruiters, American Express, Axis Bank, DBS Bank, the Reserve Bank of India and RBL Bank were some of the recruiters which participated in this cluster. Pharma and healthcare companies such as Abbott, AstraZeneca, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, participated actively. The Renewable Energy and Green Tech cohort saw active participation from Amplus Solar, Mytrah Energy, and ReNew Power. With these kinds of summer placements, IIM Ahmedabad has once again proved that it is, without doubt, one of the most desirable destinations for every management aspirant in the country.
