functioning in Mahe and Port Blair (Andaman and Nicobar
Islands). The University is offering 27 Ph.D. programmes, 19
M.Phil., 29 PG, M.Tech. in one discipline, One Advanced PG Diploma, one PG
Diploma and 3 five-year Integrated PG courses.
Department of Computer

offering M.Sc Computer Science, M.C.A
(Master of Computer Application), M.Tech Computer Science & Engg., Ph.D Computer
Science & Engg. Part-time (Internal & External).
The Department aims at
imparting quality education in Computer Science and Engineering and Information
Technology through various post-graduate programmes. It also offers an
atmosphere conducive for research scholars for pursuing research in various
advanced areas of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.
Eligibility(MCA):Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Applications / Commerce / Economics / Corporate Secretaryship
/ Business Administration with Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics /
Computer Applications as one of the subjects or
Bachelors degree in science with Mathematics/Science as one of the subjects with
a minimum of 55% marks.

Syllabus:There is no section wise break
up in the question paper. The question paper covers the questions from areas
like Comprehension and Verbal ability (Verbal analogies, Fill in the blanks
etc.), Logical reasoning (Coding Decoding, Series etc.), Analytical Ability,
Mathematics (Intermediate level i.e. +2 level) and Computer Awareness.

of 2010 Entrance:The 2010 entrance paper had 100 questions. The weightage of various test areas in the 2010
entrance, when compared to that of previous years is given below.

There was one thing which was unusual about the 2007,2008 2009 & 2010 entrances – there were no questions from +2 Mathematics. Generally 15 – 20 questions appear from Maths(+2 level) every year.
Selection process:
The Selection of the candidate will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination only.
