VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) is the entrance test conducted by VIT for the admission into its MCA and M.Tech programmes. The three year,6 semester MCA course is being offered at its Vellore and Chennai campus.
Admission to both MCA and M.Tech programmes will be based on the Candidates performance in VITMEE conducted by VIT University. The short-listed candidates need to attend an interview.

Paper Pattern:
The computer based test (CBT) question Paper had 110 questions, with a maximum of 100 marks. 2hrs duration.There were no negative marks for wrong answers.

VIT Entrance Exam: June 8th and 9th 2013

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60%. A bachelor degree in any branch with at least one of the following subjects at the under graduate level: Computer Science, Computer Technology, IT, Mathematics, Statistics and Business Mathematics.
Consistent Record in X and XII Std is required. Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
Test Areas:
General English: Comprehension, Vocabulary, Basic English Grammar,Word power, Synonyms and Antonyms, Meanings of words and phrases, Technical writing.
Mathematics:Set Theory,Algebra,Vectors,Calculus and Trignometry.
Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning:Logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. Some of the questions will be on comprehension of a logical situation and questions based on the facts given in the passage.
Computer Basics: Organization of a Computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input / output devices, computer memory, back-up devices.
Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.
