UNIVERSITY OF HYDERABAD(HCU)
The University of Hyderabad is a premier institution of post graduate teaching and
research in the country. It was established in 1974 as a
Central University. The University has 10 schools of study-Physics,
Chemistry, Life Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics & Computer
Sciences ,Performing Arts, Management Studies,Medical Sciences,Engineering
Sciences and Technology.
The
MCA programme aims to prepare
graduates in all the major areas of computer science ,relevant aspects of
Mathematics and management so that they can take up both technical and
managerial positions in industry. The training is rigorous and involves five
semesters of course work and one semester of project work.
Eligibility:Bachelor’s degree with atleast
60% marks in aggregate,in any discipline with mathematics as a compulsory
subject at Higher Secondary (10 + 2)level

Syllabus and
Paper pattern: The paper consists of
objective type questions in two parts.
Part ‘A’ deals with general mental
ability consisting of questions from reasoning, analysis, comprehension etc.
This part also consists of a few questions from Mathematics (topics like
Probability, Permutations and Combinations, Statistics, Venn Diagrams etc).There
are 25 questions in Part A.
Part ‘B’ deals with topics of +2 level
Mathematical topics such as Sets, Relations, Integration, Differentiation,
Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Vectors, Matrices, Determinants, Differential
Equations, Elementary Probability and Statistics, Number systems, Data
Representation, Algorithms and Flow charts. There are 50 questions in this
section.

the performance in the entrance test.
