Eligibility:Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate, (including all subjects studied at Bachelor's level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet.) with Mathematics as one of the subjects at either Intermediate or +2 (10+2) or equivalent examination, or, Bachelor’s level (as a main or a subsidiary subject).

 Type of paper:Multiple choice objective type questions with 3 marks being awarded for each correct answer.

Duration of Test:2 hours 30 minutes

Negative marking:There is negative marking for wrong answers. 1 mark will be deducted.

Test centres:Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Syllabus & Paper pattern:

There is no section wise break-up of question paper. The question paper contains 150 questions carrying 450 marks.

Mathematical Aptitude : About 100 questions up to +2 level(Covering topics Logarithms, Inequalities, Matrices and Determinants, Progressions, Binomial Expansion, Permutation and Combination, Equations (upto degree 2), Function and Relation, Complex Arithmetic, 2-D Coordinate Geometry, Basics of Calculus, Basic Concepts of Probability)

Analytical and Logical Reasoning : About 50 questions   (Covering topics of Number and Letter Series, Number and Letter Analogies,Venn Diagrams, Data Interpretation, Number System ,Logical conclusions etc)

Unlike every year,this year there were 12 questions on physics,10 questions on computer awareness,5 questions each on English and GK. These areas have not been mentioned in the syllabus yet questions have appeared in the examination.

Selection process:Selection is purely based on the performance in the entrance test.

Number of Seats :  46 + 31 (46 at BHU Campus and 31 at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Mirzapur and Barkachha under paid fee structure of Rs50,000 / per annum, in addition to regular BHU fee.
